I’ve never felt more girlie than talking car with a salesman. He is giving me the performance specs, ABS this and anti lock that. I glaze over. Then I notice the built in sunglass holder and squeal with delight.
The Forester is my favourite, however, based on the sweet deal Hyundai are offering I am selling out for cheap. I test drove both the Santa Fe and the Tucson. The Tuscon came out ahead. However, I don’t love it. I like it. I just thought I would be more excited about it. I’m not. I’ve had more emotion stirred by recent shoe purchases. Then I got back into my old, hot honda, and it felt perfect. It just fits. I’m going to test drive the new Honda Civic next week. We’ll see if that stirs any trouble.
This morning I met G for a long run. He is on an intense training plan for the Chicago half in two weeks. Today was run 1 of the plan, next week will be run 2. It’s a fabulous plan. The two training run half plan. He brought the plan, distance and route, I brought the entertainment, SL and D.
The only negative side to todays run was chafing. The worst chafing I have ever had. I can barely walk. It’s brutal. I wore an old running skirt. The shorts that have lost their shape decided to reform into a thong. That’s all the info I am prepared to share … for the moment.
Off to pack … wine, PIMMS, beer, baileys and a swimsuit, girlie weekend at the cottage!
